Adam Roberts
Adam Roberts is Professor of Nineteenth-century Literature at Royal Holloway, University of London, and one of Britain's most acclaimed science-fiction writers.
The author of two dozen sci-fi novels, and many more novellas, short story collections, and critical works on science fiction, fantasy, and the end of the world, Roberts is Vice-President of the HG Wells Society, and has been nominated three times for the Arthur C Clarke award. He also penned bestselling parodies of The Hobbit, The Matrix, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
A Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, he sometimes even stoops to poetry.
