A photographer, creative director, and award-winning novelist, David Blacker believes in experiences rather than experience, and thinks a single, perfect moment can make up for all the years of waiting for it to happen.

He has spent a lifetime searching for those moments—and, once in a while, found them. Jumping out of a helicopter at Elephant Pass, helping deliver his son, driving across Canada, watching Jason Newsted hit that perfect riff, bungee-jumping in Bali, or caning a Fiesta round the Nürburgring, count as a few of the things he brings with him to the job, that he thinks are as important as knowing which lens to use, or where the commas go.
