Philip Womack

Philip Womack is a critically-acclaimed children's and young adult author, specialising in the myths and legends, most notably The Darkening Path trilogy.

He has journalised for dozens of UK magazines, and held teaching appointments at Royal Holloway, St Mary's Twickenham, and Swansea universities. 

Philip is also the author of the non-fiction How to Teach Classics to Your Dog: A Quirky Introduction to the Ancient Greeks and Romans (for adults) and Write your Own Myths (for kids). His most recent novel, Ghostlord, was a Sunday Times Children's Book of the Week.

Born in the middle of a thunderstorm, he changed his mind hurriedly about being a lawyer, and once wrote a Tatler article about pyjamas.
